We began in 2005 by contracting two e-commerce designers to a company based in the USA. Today we have 50+ full time staff providing e-commerce, website design, SEO, and other digital marketing services.
As our company grew organically in the sector of website design and digital marketing, we recognized the value of staying focused and ‘Doing one thing and doing it better than anybody else.’ Our staff was connecting with and supporting each other, resulting in learning, job satisfaction, and productivity. Growth and specialization allowed us to retain full-time in-house technical mentors in each area of specialization to assist your back-office staff as needed. This became especially helpful for our smaller clients that lacked that level of expertise.

Workplace
Now our staff works from home which has dramatically improved our retention rate, employee satisfaction, reduced cost, and has allowed us to recruit talent across the Philippines and not just in commuter range of an office complex. In Manila the commute time to work and back can be 2 hours each way.
Now in the upcoming post-pandemic world, we learn that in the USA:
According to a survey from Enterprise Technology Research, the percentage of workers permanently working from home is expected to double in 2021 because “The productivity metric is proving that remote work is working.”
According to a Gartner CFO survey, over two-thirds (74%) plan to permanently shift employees to remote work after the Covid-19 crisis ends. As expected, Big Tech companies are paving the way.
When we adopted ‘work from home’, some clients were uncomfortable but that changed. It works!
Accountability
Our company has a ‘work-from-home’ culture with communication, checking-in, logging hours, etc. However, we have found that the tasks associated with website design, ecommerce, and other digital marketing services are 1) finite & measurable, and 2) are most often done in partnership with an associate on the client side. Thus, accountability is easy and relatively obvious. In general, better communication improves accountability.
Work Culture
We provide a virtual work environment to facilitate learning, support, and encourage camaraderie. All countries have culture which impacts their work culture (attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors), the USA, France, India, Japan, and the Philippines to name a few.
The Filipino work culture is focused on learning and doing the best job possible, working smart, long-term employment, teamwork, and financial stability. This is in opposition to many cultures where the focus is on working fast, advancement by job-hopping, and financial advancement.
Company Culture
Filipinos are known to have one of the most resilient ‘family-oriented cultures’ in the world, and this culture extends to the workplace and the team, creating a supportive working environment. Albeit working remotely, the team knows that they belong to a family that transcends work, and that in the toughest times, they could count on each other for assistance. Even for non-work-related dilemmas, the team will find ways to help a struggling member.
Social Responsibilities
To be able to work from the comforts of our homes, to be relieved from the frantic hustle of long and tiring commutes, to have the extra valuable time to spend quality moments with loved ones or learn a new skill… These are just some of the priceless, non-material blessings that the team has always been grateful for. A stable and long-term job is something not a lot of Filipinos could wake-up to, most especially in these trying pandemic times.
